C-17 in Liberia
A Joint Base Lewis-McChord C-17 Globemaster III aircraft arrived in Liberia Oct. 8, with the first shipment of increased military equipment and personnel for the anti-Ebola fight, Operation Unified Assistance. McCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash., - Ground crews recover cargo dropped from a McChord C-17 Dec. 20 in South Pole, Antarctic. This was the first use of a C-17 to airdrop supplies and equipment in the frigid climate of Antarctica.
