Airmen in 446th Aeromedical Staging Squadron show how they care
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash., - The 446th Aeromedical Staging Squadron Reservists won the trophy in the 446th Airlift Wing's Care and Share food drive by collecting food and cash totaling $1,102. The Care and Share program, managed by the 446th Mission Support Squadron's Airman and Family Readiness Flight, provides assistance to people in the 446th AW who are in need of a helping hand by providing food baskets for the holidays. Richard Yager, from the 446th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, buys a batch of muffins Nov. 8 at Bldg. 1216. Proceeds will go toward the 446th Airlift Wing’s Care and Share program. The program is managed at the wing’s Airman and Family Readiness Center, Bldg. 1207, where personnel are now accepting donations and nominations for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Acceptable food donations include non-perishable food and baby food. To submit a nominee, please submit the following information: the nominee’s name, pay grade and contact information; any food allergies within the family; and the total number of adults in the nominee’s family and the ages of children. Also, the referring individual should inform A&FRC personnel if the nominated family resides out-of-state. Nominations can be sent via e-mail to carl.supplee.1@us.af.mil. Dana Dailey, 728th Airlift Squadron pilot, pilots a C-17 Globemaster III into position to conduct aerial refueling with a KC-10 Extender in support of Exercise Talisman Sabre July 7 over the Pacific Ocean. The refueling mission took place during an airdrop mission with U.S. Army Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 509 infantry Brigade. Talisman Sabre 2015 is jointly sponsored by the U.S. Pacific Command and Australian Defence Force Headquarters Joint Operations Command.
