Reserve chef earns silver cooking Cooper River salmon
Master Sgt. Robert Shulman, 446th Force Support Squadron sustainment services flight manager, McChord Field, Wash., shares the spotlight with other Reservists from the 446th Airlift Wing, who came out to cheer him on during Alaska Air Cargo's annual Copper Chef Cook-Off May 17 in Seattle. Shulman, who is currently working as an executive sous chef at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Ore., placed second for his salmon recipe in the competition against three other chefs from the Pacific Northwest region. SrA Zialcita
Senior Airman Raymond Zialcita, 446th Force Support Squadron – Raymond is from Portland, Ore., and has been with FSS since 2008. “When I was thinking of joining the military, I knew my end goal was to own my own business some day,” said Zialcita. “My friends told me, ‘if you want to run you’re a business and still be in the military, the Air Force is for you.’ “ Zialcita achieved that goal and now owns and operates a nursing home in Gresham, Ore. He is working on opening his second facility next year. Zialcita is one of 2,400 Citizen Airmen assigned to the 446th Airlift Wing who supports the Air Mobility Command mission around the world on a daily basis. 446th Airlift Wing 'gives' a little holiday spirit
Members from the 446th Force Support Squadron's Airmen and Family Readiness Center receive donations through Operation Ham Grenade from the Captain Meriwether Lewis Chapter Association of the of the United States Army here Dec. 13. Many local businesses donated the hams which were delivered to military organizations on Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Camp Murray.
