SrA Zialcita

Senior Airman Raymond Zialcita, 446th Force Support Squadron – Raymond is from Portland, Ore., and has been with FSS since 2008. “When I was thinking of joining the military, I knew my end goal was to own my own business some day,” said Zialcita. “My friends told me, ‘if you want to run you’re a business and still be in the military, the Air Force is for you.’ “ Zialcita achieved that goal and now owns and operates a nursing home in Gresham, Ore. He is working on opening his second facility next year. Zialcita is one of 2,400 Citizen Airmen assigned to the 446th Airlift Wing who supports the Air Mobility Command mission around the world on a daily basis. The 446th AW is Washington state’s only Air Force Reserve flying unit, and is based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, McChord Field, Wash. (U.S. Air Force photos/Staff Sgt. Rachael Garneau)
