From computers to parachutes
Staff Sgt. Jeffery Gebhardt, a Reserve client systems technician from the 446th Force Support Squadron here, was recently notified that he earned the distinction of U.S. Transportation Command 2014 Junior Service Member of the Year. As part of JCSE, Gebhardt is immediately ready to deploy and provide communications support to the Regional Combatant Commands, Special Operations Command and other agencies.

Reservists prepare Thanksgiving baskets for needy families
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash.- Senior Airman Nicolas Speer, 446th Logistics Readiness Flight and Tech. Sgt. Nathan Mann, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, prepare Thanksgiving baskets with food donated from the USO in the 446th Mission Support Group Airmen and Family Readiness Center, Nov. 23. The baskets will be to be distributed to needy families from the 446th Airlift Wing. The Care and Share Program is designed to help wing families in need during the holiday season. Reservists with Airmen and Family Readiness, 446th LRF, and 446th AMXS helped put together about 30 baskets of food to distribute to families. Port of Tacoma donates 30 turkeys for Care and Share
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash.- 446th Airlift Wing Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Carl Supplee accepts a Thanksgiving turkey from Dennis Daily, general manager Auto Warehousing Company in Port of Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 19. The turkey represents the 30 turkeys that were donated to the 446th Mission Support Group Airmen and Family Readiness Center for the Wing Care and Share Program. The turkeys will be added to the Thanksgiving baskets with food donated from the USO to give to wing families in need during the holidays. Wingman concept soars among 446th AW
MCCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. - The 446th Mission Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center here received three tons of food and other necessities for the holiday season for distribution to Reservists of the 446th Airlift Wing. Some of the remaining provisions collected during the annual Holiday Food and Gift Drive is maintained in the center's pantry and distributed to Airmen as needed, throughout the year. Reservists, CPFR put family first

The milk, along with bags of potatoes, ham, and non-perishable goods were collected by Central Pierce County Fire and Rescue here and given to the Airman and Family Readiness Center to distribute to Reserve families in need today. For about the last five years, the Airman and Family Readiness Center and CPFR have worked together to help needy families. More than 30 boxes were given to families.
