Toe the line
MCCHORD FIELD, Wash. -- Staff Sgt. Casey Drab, a Reservist with the 446th Security Forces Squadron, kills the slack on a hold down line for a remote communications antenna mast during a field training exercise here on Jan. 8, 2012. This type of communication device is often the first thing erected by security forces when deployed to provide a line of communication between the base defense operations center and command post. "This is a perishable skill whereby if we're not doing it on a regular basis, we're not going to be proficient," said Master Sgt. James Moran, the squadron's flight sergeant. "So this type of forward deployed training is valuable; and I like it because we have to use our team-building skills and work together." (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Grant Saylor)
