Class is in session
One of the primary vehicles security forces Airmen need when they're deployed in the field is an all-terrain vehicle. For that reason, and because 446th Security Forces Squadron Reservists are deployable, they are required to take the ATV course every two to three years. Some 446th SFS Airmen have utilized those skills here at McChord Field to provide support for other security personnel, and incident response during major events, including air shows and Air Mobility Command Rodeo. Cleared for takeoff
"It was amazing," said Carmen Cook, a director with the Washington State Employment Security Department during the 446th Airlift Wing's Employer Orientation Day here, April 2. Ms. Cook was one of the lucky civilian employers who had the opportunity to take a seat on the flight deck aboard a C-17 Globemaster III for an orientation flight. Civilian employers from throughout the Northwest participated in the bi-annual event which gives them a glimpse into the Reservist's mission to train and fight. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
