Ceremony officially welcomes five Reservists to top Air Force enlisted rank
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash., - Eight new chief master sergeants were inducted to the top 1 percent of the AIr Force here March 5. Of the eight new chiefs, five are Reservists with the 446th Airlift Wing, including (left to right) Chief Master Sergeant William Smith Jr., 446th Civil Engineer Squadron, Chief Master Sgt. CES Reservist first at McChord to operate vehicle
Washington state Army National Guardsman Sgt. John Taber a motor sergeant with the 204th Engineers based in Centralia, Wash., gives Senior Master Sgt. Chris Webster, 446th Civil Engineer Squadron, superintendent of the construction equipment shop and vehicle control officer for the 446th CES at McChord Air Force Base, Wash., an overview of the instruments in the cabin of the new Army general purpose cargo truck on Fort Lewis. On Sept. 18, Sergeant Webster was the first person on base to be licensed to drive the new Army general purpose truck; which replaces a variety of Army vehicles of the same class, including the 2 1/2-ton Army truck known as a ?deuce and a half.? Chain gang

Change of command

The Seahawks officially adopted the 446th AW as their military unit of the 2013 NFL season. The flag was transferred to the 446th AW from the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), 2nd Infantry Division as part of a "change of command" ceremony. The 4-2 SBCT was last season's honorary unit. The players had a brief meet and greet with the Airmen and Soldiers before they departed. Changes in winter fitness test schedule benefit Reservists
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - Fitness assessments like this one conducted by Tech. Sgt. Shane Morgan, 446th Force Support Squadron relocations adviser, will be administered three times daily, including Reserve weekends, from January to March 2011, to alleviate the high number of Airmen due for fitness assessments this winter. Chapel opening
Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Pierre Allegre, 446th Airlift Wing chaplain (left) and Col. Scott McLaughlin, 446th AW commander, used extra-large scissors to cut the red ribbon at the grand opening of the new 446th AW chapel staff office. This new space features three offices that are sound proof for more privacy when talking with Reservists. Airmen from the 446th CES worked in tandem with JBLM Public Works and the 176th Engineers from the Washington National Guard to complete the project by the end of the year. (Northwest Guardian)
