JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - A C-17 Globemaster III aircraft flies past Mount Rainier, here. Aircrew from the 97th Airlift Squadron, 446th Airlift Wing, JBLM, McChord Field will fly to Long Beach, Calif., March 8, and bring back a new C-17 to add to JBLM, McChord Field fleet. Col. Lisa Tank, vice commander of the 446th AW and Col. Kevin Kilb, commander of the 62nd AW, JBLM, McChord Field here, will meet Brig. Gen. Robert Millmann Jr., mobilization assistant to the commander of the 18th Air Force, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. 446th Airlift Wing Deputy Commander
Colonel Kevin M. Peterson is the Deputy Commander of the 446th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He ensures the readiness of more than 1,600 Reservists and civilians to support worldwide airlift and airdrop operations. The 446th Airlift Wing flies and supports the C-17 Globemaster III weapon system. Partnering with active-duty, Guard and civilian agencies, the 446th Airlift Wing provides airlift support to Operation Deep Freeze, the National Science Foundation’s U.S. Antarctic Program.

446th Airlift Wing Employer Day
The next Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve employer orientation day is June 4. Reservists can nominate their immediate supervisor, human resources specialists, or an executive or owner of the business they work for, to spend the day with the wing learning about the Air Force Reserve, the 446th Airlift Wing and its missions, and how Citizen Airmen serve.
