A McChord Field C-17 Globemaster III on a cloudy day, Jan. 21, 2015 gets prepped for an aeromedical evacuation flight from the Air Force Reserve's 446th Airlift Wing here. The 2,100 men and women assigned to the 446th AW support the Air Mobility Command (AMC) mission around the world on a daily basis, performing 44 percent of all C-17 missions leaving JBLM. McChord Reservist helps out in France
ISTRES AIR BASE, France -- Lt. Col. Benjamin Morley (center), operations mission commander assigned to the 446th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, provides a tour of a United States Air Force C-17 Globemaster III to French Air Force Academy students Feb. 1, 2013. The tour was provided to the students to showcase the Air Force's airlift capability as well as our partnerships with the French for current operations. Reservists deliver newest C-17 to McChord
As is tradition, Airmen from the first aircrew to fly a new aircraft leave their signatures on an inside panel in the cargo area. The 446th Airlift Wing is an Air Force Reserve wing at McChord Field, Wash., sharing global airlift missions with the 62nd AW, the aircraft-owning unit. With three C-17 flying squadrons, the 2,300-strong wing provides aircrews and support on a daily basis to execute the Air Force's global airlift mission. (U.S. Air Force photo by Sandra Pishner)

2012 Air Expo
MCCHORD FIELD, Wash. - The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team will perform at Joint Base Lewis-McChord's Air Expo 2012, July 21-22 here. The Thunderbirds are one of the more than 20 military and civilian flying performers who are expected to take to the air for breath-taking acrobatics or demonstration flights.
