Farewell to former Maintenance Squadron commander

Carroll will leave the 446th Airlift Wing to be the individual mobilization augmentee to the Air Force Network Integrations Center commander. The AFNIC, located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the Air Force's premier organization for Air Force Network integration, cyber simulation, and network standards, architecture and engineering services. Carroll originally enlisted in 1979 and joined the 446th Maintenance Group 10 years later as a crew chief. Feeling the pressure

A Reservist from the 446th Airlift Wing Safety Office, McChord Field, Wash., uses a tire pressure gage to check the tire pressure on a vehicle, Sept. 11, 2011. A tire pressure gage is one item that should be included in an emergency supply kit for personal vehicles, according to the safety office. With the fall and winter months coming up, keeping an emergency supply kit should be used in the case of, vehicle accidents, being stranded in bad weather or remote locations, vehicle breakdowns, long-distance travel, or helping others who need assistance.
