Winter Wingman Day 2011
Reservists from the 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here, participated in the Winter Wingman Day 2011 on Feb. 12. Staff Sgt. Matthew Kempfe, 446th AMXS maintainer and others from the unit, built devices with plastic straws and masking tape creatively designed to protect an egg from a 10-foot drop, much like the Wingman concept and network of support for Airmen.

Model Airman
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash., -- Master Sgt. Charles King, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, holds a replica of a P-51 Mustang that was flown by an original Tuskegee Airman, retired Capt. Roscoe Brown Jr. Sergeant King purchased the model aircraft while at the 39th Tuskegee Airmen Conference in San Antonio, Texas earlier this year. He was able to meet Captain Brown and have him sign the aircraft model, which now sits proudly in Sergeant King's office here.
