McChord Reservist helps out in France
ISTRES AIR BASE, France -- Lt. Col. Benjamin Morley (center), operations mission commander assigned to the 446th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, provides a tour of a United States Air Force C-17 Globemaster III to French Air Force Academy students Feb. 1, 2013. The tour was provided to the students to showcase the Air Force's airlift capability as well as our partnerships with the French for current operations. Reservists deliver newest C-17 to McChord
As is tradition, Airmen from the first aircrew to fly a new aircraft leave their signatures on an inside panel in the cargo area. The 446th Airlift Wing is an Air Force Reserve wing at McChord Field, Wash., sharing global airlift missions with the 62nd AW, the aircraft-owning unit. C-17 Globemaster III
MCCHORD FIELD, Wash. - The Joint Base Lewis-McChord Air Expo 2012 is planned for July 21-22 and will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Golden Knights, and the civilian Patriots Jet Team. Along with these three major performers are about a dozen military and civilian aircraft, including a C-17 Globemaster III, to entertain more than 350,000 people.
