    Guard and Reserve crucial to CCATT expansion

    CCATTs augment aeromedical evacuation crews that turn the back of an aircraft of opportunity into a flying intensive care unit. Made up of a three-person medical team, CCATTs provide advanced care, transporting severely injured or ill patients to higher levels of care. The Air Force is increasing the number of Critical Care Air Transport Teams to support future readiness requirements.

  • Air Reserve TFSC call center agents take on 24-hour operations

    Effective Aug. 1, the Air Reserve Personnel Center’s call center will centralize at the Air Force's Personnel Center call center at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. With this centralization, ARPC’s more than 1.3 million customers will now have access to Total Force Service Center call agents 24/7, 361 days a year by calling 1-800-525-0102, 210-565-0102 or DSN 665-0102.

    Air Force transitions to a single combat uniform

    Air Force leaders announced the service will move to a single combat utility uniform, adopting the Operational Camouflage Pattern, or OCP, already in use by the Army and Airmen in combat zones and in certain jobs across the Air Force.

    Active-duty positions added for Guard, Reserve pilots

    Air National Guard and Reserve pilots now have 20 more opportunities to fly in order to augment active duty chronic vacancies across the force.

  • Air Force continues to pursue total force integration

    The Air Force continues to make strides toward total force integration, according to an annual report submitted to Congress March 4. The report is based on recommendations from the National Commission on the Structure of the Air Force and focuses on how the force structure should be modified to best fill current and future mission requirements, an area Air Force senior leaders have been vocal about, expressing their desires to continue to expand total force integration.
