U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Mark Hahn, aircraft commander and evaluator instructor pilot, 728th Airlift Squadron flyes a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft during the airborne operation in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Operation Northern Delay at Aviano Air Base, Italy on March 22, 2023. OND was the first strategic brigade airdrop using the C-17 aircraft in formation, integrating a conventional U.S. Army airborne brigade within the 10th Special Forces Group, and integrating an armored battalion into an airborne operation.
