U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Shanna Peters, 60th Aerial Port Squadron traffic management cargo operations section chief, reads the biography of Marian Wynn, 92, prior to a ‘Rosie the Riveter’ presentation June 25, 2019, at Travis Air Force Base, California. Wynn is one of the many women known as “Rosie” as she worked as a pipe welder in the Richmond, California, Kaiser Shipyard from 1944 – 1945. During a visit to Travis AFB, she and three other Rosies met with 60th Air Mobility Wing leadership, had lunch with Airmen and shared their experiences. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
