Reserve physician designs award-winning, historical postage stamp
The photo of Steponas Darius and Stasys Girenas created the idea for Lt. Col. (Dr.) Arunas Banionis' postage stamp design, which earned him first place in the Lithuania Post Postage Stamps Design Contest in May. Banionis was born and raised in the U.S., but is of Lithuanian decent and learned about Lithuanian culture as he grew up.
