Citizen Airmen of the 446th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Protection Flight, out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., assemble before attempting to put out a Jet Propellant 8 fuel fire at Fort McCoy Wis. during exercise Patriot Warrior, June 10, 2015. Patriot Warrior is an Air Force Reserve Command exercise designed to evaluate the capability to deploy, establish, and operate in support of joint field operations. Nearly 6,000 reserve component service members from Air Force, Army, and Navy support the exercise. The 446th CES Fire Protection team had a unique opportunity to train with JP8 fuel during the exercise, which simulates the conditions of real fires they could encounter as opposed to propane.
