Shawn Lundgren, 446th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal technician, unravels detonation cord to neutralize a simulated improvised explosive device during the Patriot Warrior exercise at Fort McCoy, Wis., June 21, 2015. Patriot Warrior is a joint exercise designed to demonstrate contingency deployment training ranging from bare base buildup to full operational capabilities. It supports Exercise Global Lightning, a Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) including Global Medic 15 and Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise 15 (QLLEX). Over 6,000 members from U.S. service components including Air Force, Army, and Navy (Active, Guard, and Reserve) participated alongside British and Canadian forces.
