Some might consider Airman 1st Class Dominic Luka a foreigner, but experiencing loss is definitely something that’s familiar to him. By age 11, Luka suffered the loss of, his father, stepmother, a sister, and two brothers. As one of the Lost Boys of the Sudan, he was evacuated from his homeland and sent to a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States and enlisting into the Air Force Reserve.
