Ed Saylor, Doolittle Raider, in cutting the cake at the 446th Airlift Wing Awards Banquet March 8 at Boeing’s Museum of Flight in Seattle. Saylor, one of 80 Airmen of the U.S. Army Air Corps, led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle, carried the battle of the Pacific to the heart of the Japanese empire with a surprising and daring raid on military targets.
