446th AES earns Outstanding Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Award

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash.- Master Sgt. Paul Melkers and Tech. Sgt. Jill Petersen, 446th AES flight medics, run visual inspections on medical equipment, like the defibrillator, which the Reservists use to detect abnormal electrical activity in their patients' hearts. The continuous training the 446th AES Reservists undergo was one of the factors that earned the unit the Outstanding Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron Award by the Air Force Reserve Command in September 2010.
