Jon Polka, a C-17 Globemaster III loadmaster with the 728 Airlift Squadron out of McChord Field, Wash., spent three weeks in Nicaragua back in August 2010, volunteering as a photographer for Blue Planet Network, a funding organization that assists El Provenir and Agua Para Vida, two non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to alleviate the global water crisis.
