Standing at the South Pole with a smile

Master Sgt. Scott Terra, 728th Airlift Squadron, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., stands in between the ceremonial South Pole and an ice sculpture of Roald Amundsen, the first human to reach the geographic South Pole. Terra, a loadmaster, served in an administrative position supporting the 109th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard.
