New Reserve maintainers graduate from tech school

Airman 1st Class Marciano Quinonez-Cheeks (left) and Airman Basic Michael Gallegos, both assigned to the 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron out of McChord Field, Wash., after graduating from the 373rd Field Training Detachment here, March 21, 2012. Both graduates will be crew chiefs with the 446th AMXS. Quinonez-Cheeks, 18, joined the Reserve because he wanted to serve. He chose a career as a crew chief because it's related to his goal of majoring in aerospace engineering. The Federal Way resident plans on attending Highline Community College in Des Moines in the fall. Gallegos, 22, has always loved rolling up his sleeves and getting his hands dirty working on automobiles. He joined the Reserve, so he could upgrade to working on C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The husband, and father of one, lives in Ogden, Utah and plans on moving his family to the Seattle area in the near future. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jake Chappelle/Released)
