A look back in time: from deep space to deep freeze

A group of people pose with a C-119J on Ellington Air Force Base, Texas, in 1965. The aircraft was used in support of the NASA Mercury boilermaker capsule program from 1961 to 1967. The emblem behind the woman's head on the left is the original 446th Troop Carrier wing logo. The parachutes on the right side of the photograph indicate the capsule drops that particular aircraft accomplished with NASA. (Courtesy Photo)
