Thomas Higdon - Disabled American Veterans

Thomas Higdon, the Disabled American Veterans transition service officer here at JBLM McChord Field, walks a service member, who recently came back from a deployment, through the Veterans Affairs claims process. The DAV advocates for disabled veterans and wounded, injured, and ill military members who received their injuries during active-duty deployments to ensure they get the most out of their VA entitlements. Higdon is bound by client privacy and aids Airmen from active-duty as well as Air Force Reservists and Air National Guardsmen who’ve been hurt while serving on Title 10 orders. Higdon is also a disabled Air Force veteran. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jake Chappelle)
