Col. Kirsten M. Palmer
Colonel Kirsten M. Palmer is commander of the 446th Maintenance Group, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. As group commander, she is responsible for directing all aircraft and equipment maintenance support for three squadrons of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, as well as the quality and quantity of training for over 700 Reservists, ensuring they are prepared to perform the wing's mission in peacetime and during combat.

Farewell to former Maintenance Squadron commander
Col. Maureen Carroll, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron commander, poses for a photo in a C-17 Globemaster III on the Joint Base Lewis-McChord flight line before her promotion ceremony June 4, 2016. Carroll will leave the 446th Airlift Wing to be the individual mobilization augmentee to the Air Force Network Integrations Center commander. The AFNIC, located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the Air Force's premier organization for Air Force Network integration, cyber simulation, and network standards, architecture and engineering services. Carroll originally enlisted in 1979 and joined the 446th Maintenance Group 10 years later as a crew chief.
