446th Logistics Readiness Flight has new commander
Col. Gerald Vowell, 446th Mission Support Group commander, passes the 446th Logistics Readiness Flight guidon over to its new commander, Capt. Jeffrey Weaver, in a ceremony held at McChord Field's 86th Aerial Port Squadron warehouse March 3. Weaver replaces former commander, Maj. Tony Edwards, who commanded the flight since April 2008.

446th LRF annual tour
Airmen from the 446th Logistics Readiness Flight, McChord Field, Wash. and the 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy, worked hand-in-hand while the 446th LRF Reservists completed their two-week annual tour July 14-27, 2011. "Without opportunities like the (31st LRF) provided us, our training would be one sided and wouldn't give us the opportunity to deploy and seamlessly integrate with the active duty in the (area of responsibility)," said Tech. Air Force Reserve - How we serve
Tech. Sgt. Berlin Ibe, a Reserve inventory manager with the 446th Logistics Readiness Flight helps a customer with equipment. Sergeant Ibe is one of 2,400 Citizen Airmen serving in the 446th Airlift Wing, McChord Air Force Base, Wash. In his civilian occupation, he is a financial reporting assistant with the Washington State Ferries. He has give 18 years of service to our nation. What he likes best about serving in the Air Force Reserve: "This is the only part-time job that gives you a retirement. I also like helping people. My extra duty is as career advisor for my unit."
