Excuse me... may I have some help?

Requesting support can often make us feel vulnerable. Sometime we think being vulnerable may lead us to open ridicule, judgement, and embarrassment.

We usually think (somewhat erroneously) that we should be able to do everything ourselves or that by admitting we need help, we are somehow being weak. Neither are true. What is true is that we are best equipped to help others when we have ourselves taken care of first. Being self sufficient is great, but sometimes we need an assist. Having courage to ask another for help is a true sign of strength.

Let's change the narrative and create a community where asking for help is the norm. Encourage others to do the same!
