Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Mack, 446th ‘Rainier’ Airlift Wing command chief will transition to be the new command chief at the 934th Airlift Wing located at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minn., in August.

After serving as command chief for more than four years, Mack was instrumental in advising Col. Scott L. McLaughlin, 446th AW commander, on matters of health, morale, welfare, training, professional development and utilization of nearly 2,200 enlisted personnel.

During a Wing Staff Commander’s Call, McLaughlin said, “Chief Mack worked diligently and mentored me to be able to provide the best leadership to the men and women of the 446th Airlift Wing. He’s going to do great things as command chief for the 934th Airlift Wing, but he’s going to be missed here very much.”

An integral part of the community here, Mack served as the commander's representative on councils, boards, and selected military and local civilian community events.

“The local community is incredible here, a special thanks goes out to our civic partners for their support," said Mack.

Mack has spent his military career in the Air Force Reserve as a Traditional Reservist at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Prior to becoming command chief, Mack served as first sergeant for the 446th Mission Support Squadron and then the 86th Aerial Port Squadron.

“One goal while command chief here to not be stagnant and this move opens the door for others,” said Mack during the Commander’s Call over the July Unit Training Assembly. “It’s time to move on, but bittersweet leaving the 446th. My time as command chief here will always be a highlight of my career.”

His first sergeant experience started in the 446 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as the assistant first sergeant for three years after spending 11 years in the aircraft maintenance field.
