Now that Congress has passed a continuing resolution and the government has reopened for business, Air Force Reservists can get back to their business.

The alternate unit training assembly for Oct. 19-20 will take place as scheduled, according to Col. Bruce Bowers, 446th Airlift Wing commander.  Additionally he said, the primary UTA rescheduled for Oct. 26-27 will occur, followed the next weekend by the November primary UTA (Nov. 2-3).

Although the CRA has been passed, there are still questions.

"We have not received a formal funding document, and won't until later next week, so we don't know yet how much of the lump sum funding we have for unit special tour, seasoning training program, Yellow Ribbon, drug management or command-funded TDYs," said Renate Pires, 446th Airlift Wing budget analyst. " We have received enough funds for annual tours and unit training assemblies, so the UTAs for this and next week-end are funded."

Because full guidance on funding has not been received yet, the wing is proceeding with caution.
