Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Washington Military Alliance will be hosting the JBLM Service Member for Life Transition Summit from Sep. 22-24. The event will consist of three days of activities targeting leaders, service members, veterans and their family members to attend and connect with opportunities and resources.

The event is mandatory for military members less than twelve months from their separation date to serve as a transitioning program from the military.

"This program will benefit members and families of all 446th members," said Carl Supplee 446th Airmen & Family Readiness director. "It's great for retirement planning, finding jobs, organizing finances and building resumes."

The event is also open to all veterans regardless of ID card status.

"The more you know about all of the above, the better prepared you will be for the future," said Supplee.  "Also, things constantly change, and so to be up to date on all of the changes concerning your future is beneficial."

If you are interested in participating, all attendees must be registered by Sept. 14.
