While only two teams came away with trophies, all are winners, according to team chief Lt. Col. Greg Pyke.

"The teams put in hours of hard work and dedication to prepare for the competition," said Colonel Pyke. "And even though we didn't (successfully) defend the best C-17 title, we are proud of all we accomplished during the competition."

Also saddling up in the competition were aircrew, aerial port, and security forces teams.

The aircrew scored best among C-17 teams in the heavy equipment and container delivery system drops. The aerial port team's best event was the 25K Halvorsen driving course, while the security forces scored their best event with the combat tactics. (446th Airlift Wing staff compiled report)
