Local company presented with highest award for employers of Reservists
MCCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash., - Maj. Stephen Oliver, second from the left, is a Reservist with the 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and an employee of Microsoft. Microsoft Corporation has been awarded the 2009 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. Major Oliver was one of two Reserve military members who submitted the company for this award, whch is the highest recognition given by the U.S. government to employers who support their Guard and Reserve employees.
