446th Aerial Porters bring relief through Operation Arctic Care
KOTZEBUE, Alaska -Aerial porters from various units, including the 86th Aerial Port Squadron, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., load medical and general supplies aboard the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, to be delivered to Alaskan locals in remote villages. The 446th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, took part of Operation Arctic Care, a joint-service medical readiness and logistics training exercise that provided humanitarian assistance to underserved communities in the U.S. The three-week operation ended April 26.
