Community hosts Airmen Appreciation Lunch

JOINT BASE LEWIS - MCCHORD, Wash. --  As the hungry crowd lined up for Dave's Famous BBQ, representatives from the community served McChord's Airmen lunch as a way to thank them for their service and patriotism.

Members from Harborstone Credit Union, Air Force Association, Air Force Sergeant's Association Auxiliary and Support America's Armed Forces teamed up to host the lunch honoring McChord's Airmen on Sept. 12.

"We feel special that we're able to do this for everyone," said Mary Moss, a representative from Harborstone Credit Union. "We're glad everyone enjoyed it."

"It is really awesome," said Senior Airman Phillip Calton, a technician with the 446th Airlift Wing Financial Management. "It makes us feel appreciated to have them host us and thank us for our service."
