Joint Base Final Operation Capability became effective Oct 1, 2010.  Under the new system there will be some interim change to the telephone directory and operator service.

Under the Army operator coverage, The Network Enterprise Center will staff live operator support from 7:00.a.m.  to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. All nights, weekends, and holidays will be covered by an automated call routing system.

The automated call routing system will provide contact information for McChord Field key leadership and critical services during off-hours in lieu of direct operator support. If a contact number is not on the calling tree, please report it to the Communications Focal Point (982-2666) and it will get added.

Morale calls will still be possible via the Air Force Automated Health and Morale System. All McChord Field personnel deploying will still be required to get a PIN for access to this system. The PINs can be attained by calling the CS technicians at 982-3625. The Joint Base automated call system also has a morale call feature (without a PIN) that can be used, but it is very limited on the number of calls it can handle at one time. It is recommended that Air Force personnel use the AHAMS system as it will provide a more robust and readily available means of placing morale calls for our deployed personnel.

This is an interim change and will only be in place until the six-month contract extension comes into effect.
