446th AW recognizes McChord Reservists' Excellence

MCCHORD FIELD, Wash. --  The 446th Airlift Wing Annual Awards Banquet was held at the McChord Consolidated Clubs here March 2.

More than 300 guests attended and the finale of the night was the announcement of the wing's annual award winners.

Stand-out awardees were Tacoma's Lt. Col. Pete Buehn, 446th Operations Group pilot, who won the Air Force Association Outstanding Air Force Civilian Employee in the Civilian Program Manager Category, and Roy, Utah, native, Master Sgt. Chris Brown, 446th AW recruiter, who earned the Top Air Force Reserve Command Line Recruiter, Top Non-Prior Service Recruiter and Commander-Emphasis Awards.

Other notable winners are:

. Employer of the Year- West Pierce Fire & Rescue, accepted by Deputy Fire Chief Mitch Sagers, escorted by Tech. Sgt. Lance Nelson, a Reservist who works for WPFR

. Spouse of the Year- Matthew Davidson, spouse of Capt. Beverley Davidson, 446th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron

. First Sergeant of the Year- Master Sgt. Patrick Haley, 446th Civil Engineer Squadron

. Airman of the Year- Senior Airman Colin James, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

. Noncommissioned Officer of the Year- Tech. Sgt. Justin Shattuck, 446th Civil Engineer Squadron

. Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year- Senior Master Sgt. Linda Edwards, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

. Company Grade Officer of the Year- Capt. Patrick Hancock, 446th Operations Support Flight

. Field Grade Officer of the Year- Maj. Vanessa Gallagher, 446th Force Support Squadron

. Civilian of the Year, supervisory, Lt. Col. Pete Buehn, 446th Operations Group

. Civilian of the Year, non-supervisory, Tech. Sgt. Deidre Barry, 446th Maintenance Squadron
