Wing banquet honors award winners

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. --  The 446th Airlift Wing held its annual awards banquet to honor significant contributions of its Air Force Reservists, civilian workers, families, and employers April 1 at the McChord Field Club.

Awardees who demonstrated standout excellence for 2016 were recognized by the wing with quarterly, annual, and unit-level honors. Other award recipients were acknowledged at the Air Force Reserve Command and Air Mobility Command higher headquarters level.

A few of these awards include:
- Tech. Sgt. Jeremy Monsivais, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was awarded the AMC Reserve Associate Maintenance Technician of the Year
- Mr. Scott Plocar, 446th AW, AFRC Outstanding Weapons Safety Civilian of the Year
- Master Sgt. Erin Bus, 446th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, was awarded the AFRC Surgeon General Mentorship Excellence
- Senior Master Sgt. John Besselman, former member ot eh 446th Force Support Squadron, was awarded the AFRC Force Support Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year.
Additionally, awards were presented to those who aren't assigned to, but who support the 446th AW, including the spouse and the employer of the year.

The 2016 Spouse of the Year, Tanisha Adam, was nominated by her husband, Capt. Jared Adam, 446th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, for demonstrating unfailing support, devotion, and dedication to the Air Force Reserve community.

Gabriel Lee and Dr. Rob Nohle from Washington Permanente Medical Group, accepted the Employer of the Year Award on behalf of the organization for its continuous support and appreciation of its Citizen Airmen employees.
The finale of the night was the announcement of the wing's annual award winners.

The winners were:

First Sergeant of the Year- Senior Master Sgt. Gregory Neubert, 446th Aircraft Maintenance squadron.

Airman of the Year- Senior Airman Brandon Andrews, 446th Maintenance Squadron.

Noncommissioned Officer of the Year- Staff Sgt. Tracy Bettendorf, 446th Civil Engineering Squadron.

Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year- Senior Master Sgt. Michael Pate, 446th Security Forces Squadron.

Company Grade Officer of the Year- Capt. Michael Spencer, 446th Maintenance Squadron.

Field Grade Officer of the Year- Major Robert Maañao, 446th Force Support Squadron.

Civilian of the Year, Category I, Ms. Glenise Allen, 446th Airlift Wing Staff.

Civilian of the Year, Category II, Ms. Regina Rector, 446th Airlift Wing Staff.
Civilian of the Year, Category III, Mr. John Scacciotti, 446th Operations Group.
