On this Pacific Update: Col. Jun Oh, commander of the 374th Operations Group, 374th Airlift Wing on Yokota Air Base and his staff arrive at Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Kanoya Air Base, Oct. 21, 2022, to preside over the assumption of command ceremony for the 319th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron scheduled on Sunday, October 23, 2022. U.S. Pacific Air Forces is deploying MQ-9s and personnel to Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Kanoya Air Base to conduct airborne reconnaissance operations in close coordination with the Japan Ministry of Defense in furtherance of the U.S. – Japan Treaty and to ensure a free-and-open Indo-Pacific (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Jack D.
