The Nuclear Triad: Bombers

Air Force bombers, including the B-52 Stratofortress and B-2 Spirit, are the most flexible leg of the nuclear triad. The other two legs are intercontinental ballistic missiles and submarines. The triad provides the nation with significant deterrent and decisive response capabilities.
