TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Lt. Gen. Kevin Schneider, commander, U.S. Forces Japan, and Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, delivered remarks at a reception ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the U.S.-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security. The ceremony brought together personnel from the U.S. and Japanese government and military to commemorate the treaty signed by then President Eisenhower and then Japanese Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi, grandfather of current Prime Minister Shinzō Abe.
