446th Fire Protection Flight at Patriot Warrior

Members of the 446th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Protection Flight meet before training to put out a JP8 jet fuel fire at Fort McCoy WI. during Patriot Warrior, June 10th, 2015. Patriot Warrior is an Air Force Reserve Command exercise performed in a joint environment with U.S. Army and Navy Reserves, active duty and Air National Guard partners designed to evaluate the capability to deploy, establish and operate in support of joint operations. Nearly 6,000 U.S. Army Reserve, Navy Reserve and AFRC personnel took part in the exercise. The 446th Fire Protection Flight team had a unique opportunity to train with JP8 jet fuel during the exercise, which simulates the conditions of real fires they might encounter much more closely than propane.
