446th Airlift Wing

Mission
The 446th Airlift Wing’s primary mission is to provide ready Reserve Citizen Airmen to support global operations. The wing's vision is Airmen first, a cohesive, ready team. Priorities for the wing include ensuring ready Airmen and families, enhance cohesive partnerships and the strategic alignment of resources. 

The nearly 1,900 Reservists assigned to the 'Rainier' Wing support Air Mobility Command (AMC) operations around the world on a daily basis, performing approximately 33 percent of all C-17 Globemaster III aircraft missions leaving McChord Field. The wing is part of the Air Force Reserve Command and is a Joint Base Lewis-McChord tenant unit at McChord Field.
