JBLM Traffic Alert: #JBLM will conduct a 24-hour "Nine Gate Access Plan" exercise from 9 p.m., June 19 to 9 p.m., June 20. This exercise will test the base population's ability to adjust to fewer access points in the event a reduction in gate operations is necessary due to manning or contingency operations. • During the exercise, these nine gates will be OPEN: Lewis Main Liberty Gate (2 lanes, inbound only), Madigan Gate, East Gate, DuPont Gate and Logistics Center Gate; Lewis North Gate and Integrity Gate; and McChord Field Main Gate and Barnes Gate. • During the exercise, these six gates will be CLOSED: Lewis Main RCF Gate (with access to Center Dr. and Mounts Rd.), Transmission Line Gate; Lewis North D. Street Gate; and McChord Field North Gate, Commercial Vehicle Inspection Point (CVIP), and the Woodbrook Housing Gate. During the exercise, JBLM Law Enforcement will monitor traffic flow on and off JBLM and will coordinate with WA DOT and WA State Patrol to identify and mitigate any potential impacts this may cause to traffic on the I-5 corridor. For up to the minute traffic information, please monitor google maps or WSDOT's JBLM Traffic map at wsdot.com/Small/Olympia/TrafficMaps/jblm.aspx All 15 JBLM gates will return to normal operations on Thursday, June 21. Heads up #JBLM, the Lewis-Main Liberty Gate construction project begins TOMORROW! That's Friday, June 1. Please help us get the word out by sharing this post. During construction there will be NO outbound traffic through that gate for JBLM commuters, and inbound traffic will be limited to only two lanes. For commuters who usually use the Lewis Main Liberty Gate, we strongly encourage you to use one of the alternate routes mentioned in the video during the construction period. The construction is necessary to: * Repair pavement * Improve lane alignment * Improve the Visitors Center parking area * And to make improvements to the Access Control Point and the historic Camp Lewis Gate appearance
For those that made the ultimate sacrifice. #MemorialDay #HonorTheFallen #FlagsIn
