Girl Scouts invade McChord

Senior Master Sgt. Derek Bryant, a loadmaster with the 446th Operations Group, helps a Girl Scout don a helmet and safety harness, during a base tour July 9, 2017, at McChord Field. SMSgt Bryant discussed what it’s like to be a loadmaster and showed various tasks aircrews perform. During the visit, seven girl scouts were able to tour the 446th AW, a C-17 Globemaster III, control tower, and learned survival tips from a Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape, instructor.
